What is final year projects ?
The final year project is the culmination of the degree – it gives students a chance to demonstrate all they have learned. The project module is very different from other modules. Although students are supervised, the onus is on the student to define the problem boundaries, to investigate possible solutions, and to present the results in writing, verbally and in action. Apart from an initial briefing session there are no formal lectures to attend. Teaching consists of regular individual/small group meetings to discuss progress. For assessment, students submit reports of their progress and final results, and give in-person presentations and demonstrations of their work.

What is Synopsis ?
Synopsis is a short description. It is also known as project proposal. Actually this is the basic layout which you plan to develop in your project. IGNOU BCA BCSP064, IGNOU MCA MCSP060 &MCS 044 Mini project must have proper synopsis as per below format:
- Title of the Project
- Introduction and Objectives of the Project
- Project Category (RDBMS/OOPS/Networking/Multimedia/Artificial Intelligence/Expert Systems
etc.) - Analysis (DFDs at least up to second level , ER Diagrams/ Class Diagrams/ Database Design etc.
as per the project requirements). - A complete structure which includes:

on the project. - Data Structures as per the project requirements for all the modules.
- Process Logic of each module.
- Testing process to be used.
- Reports generation ( Mention tentative content of report)

What is Project Report ?
The project report is a document, which gives an account of the project proposal to ascertain the prospects of the proposed plan/activity. The project report contains detailed information about the developed website/software as per project proposal. It must be contain:

- Testing (Test case designs are to be included separately for Unit testing, Integration testing, System testing; Reports of the outcome of Unit testing, Integration testing, System testing are to be included separately. Also, details of debugging and code improvement are to be included.)

What is Executable source code/CD ?
You have to submit your report with source code. Executable Source Code/CD must contain complete source code file which is developed by you including database file and login details (if any).
What is approval letter?
When you submit synopsis performa of your bcsp064, mcsp060 or mcs044 then university either approved it or reject it. But in both case they provide proper reason with university stamps. If in Approval letter mention that approved that means your synopsis is approved and you are eligible for develop the project.
